His skills as an announcer are more than just a deep, smooth voice. It goes beyond his 30 years of radio and public speaking experience. Part of it is that Roy studies what it is he’s talking about. He sounds knowledgeable because he is. He has learned the sports and become a fan. He also keeps abreast of what is going on in the industries—from tractor pulls to stage shows.
